Hi, my name is Lindsey. I am creating this website to reach out to military families who are going through a deployment, have gone through, or just curious about the experiences of a military family going through a deployment. Of course everybody handles situations differently; this website is to help people understand that they are not alone. It includes feelings of a service member that has been deployed, along with the experiences and feelings of his spouse and children. This service member just happens to be my spouse.
My spouse served in the Marine Corps for 16 years, and is currently serving in the Army for five years. He has been deployed four times, each deployment lasted almost 12 months. My kids and I have been around for two out of those four deployments. The first deployment we experienced as a family was in the year 2003 . The second deployment was in 2015–2016. The experiences we went through as a family and as individuals will be shared within the website, along with a spot where you can share your own experiences, thoughts, or ask any questions you may have about the military family experience.
I hide my tears when I say your name, but the pain in my heart is still the same, although I smile & seem carefree, there is no one who misses you more than me.
